Sea of Dead Consciousnes
Godz ov War Productions

TLDR: Extreme death metal with shitty sounds & averageish songwriting.

Review: There are at least two known death metal bands from Germany that go under the moniker Inexorable and this is “the other one”. Sea of Dead Consciousness is the band’s third ep and now with a bonus track compared to it’s 2015 version. Now totaling seven tracks, of which three last ones are cover songs, this one is an EP with more than 30 minutes of extreme metal.

Good things first. All the cover songs are pretty okay. From Mayhem to Immolation to Mysticum, it’s alright and the good thing is that none of the songs are similar to each other. Can’t really complain about these ones. Bad thing is… the band’s own songs are not good. In fact they are very mediocre ones, but with shitty production and subpar growling vocals. Sigh. This is a fucking demo level release on CD. For fucks sake.

The songs are not super bad, but they are bad. Add blasting, blurry sounds and some generic “whatever” class growling and you’re good to go. This is what listening to Sea of Dead Consciousness feels like. Unless you have a really bad ache for some “extreme and dark” death metal, skip this one. It ain’t worth your time.
