TLDR: Italian version of Slipknot goes deathcore.

Review: Italian band Omnikage reminds me of Slipknot. “Crazy” appearance, modern death metal and elements of metalcore are all there. Vocals range from clean ones to growling and back. This all could be forgiven or even be cool if only it was good. You wish.

Acceptance feels like a lengthy deathcore case which tries to be a bit of this, a bit of that, but tragically failing. Even though the production is solid, the songs themselves are just meaningless shite. If one wants to be a copycat, at least do it well. But know, these Italians just fail to understand what makes Slipknot successful and even good in some many pairs of ears.

Omnikage might sound heavy and crazy if one defines metal music by Music Television. For real metalheads in the genre, Omnikage is hardly nothing more than a nuisance. Thanks and bye, please close the door after leaving, Ominkage. You are not worth our time.
